A: Internet AdSales is the leading site representation company in South Africa. We have a hundred plus top quality web publishers with whom we have partnered with to provide advertisers with targeted ad placements. We get results for advertisers by monitoring yields (response rates), expert advice and responsive service.
A: We steer clear of issuing standard rate cards. We feel that due to the dynamic nature of online marketing, our recommendations continually adapt as receive statistical reports from active campaigns. Our aim is to ensure the best creatives, positions and rates are negotiated on your behalf. Therefore, for us to tailor the best recommendations, we need to know who the client is, their online/campaign objectives, timing and budget.
Q: What do I need to do for Internet Adsales to provide me with a free recommended advertising campaign?
A: It’s easy. Send an email to info@internetadsales.co.za giving us an outline of your business and the following information:
- Your campaign objectives.
- Your budget.
- Your target market (age, gender, income, geographic placement).
- The dates you would like your campaign to start and end.
- Please provide the URL that the advertising will click thru to.
We will then either meet with you or speak to you over the phone, after which we will send you a proposal outlining our recommendations. Once you have made your selection, we shall send you the booking form to fill out, sign and fax back to us.

Q: What can I expect in a proposal?
A: We present you with opportunities we believe will get you results. Our proposals include the following information:
- Why people visit the selected website
- Demographic information and website traffic
- Recommended placements
- Where the creatives will appear e.g. homepage top right or ROS (run of site) – which means the creative will appear on every page of the site
- An example of the creative e.g. 120x600 skyscraper, max 15k
- Guaranteed number of impressions (the display time period that advert would be displayed)
- The negotiated rate for each site
You can then select which sites you want to start with.

Budget and target audience determines the right site to advertise on. Internet AdSales has researched several websites who have sufficient site visitors to warrant selling advertising space. Some of the sites generate in excess of a million page impressions per month.
Once the site or sites have been identified you will be guaranteed a set number of page impressions on which your advert will be displayed. Special ad monitoring software ensures that your site is displayed the correct number of times, e.g. If a page generates 300 000 page impressions per month your advert will appear the number of times requested. Advertising space can be purchased for any period of time providing there is inventory. A page may contain more than one advert, displayed on the page in various locations, either as a permanent position of rotated.
Cost per impression is referred to as CPM and is the traditional form of measurement.
Another method, available at a higher cost, but gaining in popularity is cost per acquisition, or CPA. The only time sites will consider this type of campaign is if the advertiser can guarantee that all sales are tracked back to the advert placed on that specific site, for example, providing a unique URL to advertise on the site with coded tracking in place following users to the final purchase transaction.
Q: How will my campaign be measured?
A: Campaigns on the Internet are measured in one of two ways, CPA (cost per acquisition) or CPM (cost per impression). CPM is the traditional method and is based on the number of times the advert is displayed. CPA looks at the number of successful transactions against the cost of the advertising.
Reporting on a CPM campaign will always include;
The number of guaranteed impressions for the period booked, the click thru’s to the advertisers URL and the Yield (the percentage which determines the success of a campaign).
Q: What traffic and creative issues will I need to supply Internet Adsales to receive a tailor-made proposal with recommended ad placements?A:
- You’ll need to send us any rich media or flash creatives in an alternative GIF format (your creative guys should be able to do this for you in a jiffy). This is because not all of our channel sites (hyperlink to channel marketing) have Rich Media Code or Flash loaded on their sites.
- All banner actions need to be initiated by the user, for example, expanding banners will only expand if the user mouses over it and new browser windows will launch on the users prompt.
- Send us signed insertion orders at least 5 days before launch date.

Q: How do I apply to have Internet AdSales represent my website:
A: It’s simple. Just complete the online application. We will evaluate your site and respond to your application within one business week. Apply now.
Q: What are the requirements for a publisher to join Internet AdSales?
We firstly find out more about the advertisers objective, target market, campaign dates and budget. Based on the traffic info you have given us, we send them recommended placements. You need to let us know what positions/creatives we can offer above the fold on your sites. We will work out a package including an insertion in your newsletter and give the advertiser all the info to make an informed decision. Once he approves our proposal, we send him a booking form (insertion order). We will ensure that what we offered is what is booked. The advertiser signs the booking form and sends it back to us. We will also let him know what creatives are required. We send a copy of the signed booking form as well as the creatives to the site for loading. The site needs to load the creatives at the start of the campaign and provide us with log-in details to monitor the campaign or to provide weekly stats reports to the advertiser. The site bills the advertiser directly, Internet AdSales bills the site commission owed for that booking which is payable as the site receives payment from the advertiser.
Q: Why is Internet AdSales the best site representation company for my website:
A: Internet AdSales ensures the highest CPM rates and we work with only the most reputable advertisers. The real value that we offer publishers is the network of advertisers and agencies we have built up over the years. See the benefits section for more information.
Q: How will my site be categorised?
A: Sites are categorised by content, rather than demographics.
Q: As a Publisher / Site, what are my responsibilities / commitments to Internet AdSales;
A: Internet AdSales have certain minimum service/support requirements that sites need to adhere to for them to be included in recommendations:
Note: Should The Site fail to fulfill any of the following obligations, IAS retains the right to cancel or suspend campaigns.
- Update the site on a regular basis.
- Load the campaign as required on the start date and end dates.
- To either provide Internet AdSales with password protected stats to monitor the campaign or to send weekly stats reports timeously as required.
- Pay Internet AdSales the commission due as The Site receives payment from the advertiser.
Should Internet AdSales bring a new client to The Site, this client remains The Agency’s for any future bookings for as long as this agreement is in place.
